Experience

Software Developer III

LCLS Data Systems - SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory

Transition to a more senior role in the data acquisitions group with a focus on implementation and optimization of systems in preparation for increased data rates exceeding 1 TB/s. Specific higlights:

  • Testing and initial deployment of the new high-speed area detector projected to be the main detector for hard X-ray experiments.
  • Participate in the implementation and validation of data reduction techniques, and the deployment of infrastructure to automate this effort.

August 2025 - Present

Associate Staff Engineer II

LCLS Data Systems - SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory

Work on the development of the next generation LCLS2 data acquisition system. Specific highlights:

  • Coordinate the transition and update of an experimental end station (MFX) to the new acquisition system.
  • Integration of a new detector (Jungfrau) to the acquisition system.
  • Implementation and deployment of new analysis routines for online timing jitter correction.

March 2024 - August 2025

Associate Staff Engineer II

LCLS Experimental Control Systems - SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory

Work on the orchestration of controls and data analysis infrastructure. Build and deploy “IOC"s within the existing EPICS frameworks.

June 2023 - March 2024

Research Associate

SRD Biology - SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory

Implement data analysis workflow automation as part of the P41 Institute to facilitate complex biology experiments at the LCLS.

January 2023 - June 2023
